Details of the location
The vineyards are located on south and east-facing slopes at an altitude ranging from 230 to 350 meters above sea level. The soil consists mainly of loamy limestone gravel with a small proportion of sand.
From grape to wine
Fermentation occurs with maceration at 28 °C for 10 days. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and 6 months of ageing in stainless steel tanks.

The origin of this wine
Lagrein is one of the three indigenous varieties in Alto Adige. He is related to the Teroldego and Syrah. Typical for this species are the dark red color and fruity berry flavors that are paired with spicy-resinous notes of chocolate, tobacco and forest floor.
